Utah!

Well we discovered who the egg laying culprit was.

The guesses were right. Henny was the one. We caught her in the act. My 4 year old son was way excited to have his turn collecting the egg. His comments were "its warm"

Bingo! Now to figure out who laid the whitish one? Was it super light green or blue at all? Could be the EE.

When I got on this morning and saw...37 posts, I thought what in the world?   Then I saw why.  I noticed a little while back that we were coming up to the big number.   I should have known Lisa would have gotten things going faster.   That was fun reading through them.  Quick reading at that.   :D

Yes, girl where were you last night? You are usually on for a little bedtime reading....I got on to do a quick read through the days events then ended up on here for an hour lol Then Birdguy took all my glory, looks like I need to 'rooster' him now .....:lau I have the perfect boy in mind....:plbb

Kidasoto, do you have any leghorns? If you know what breeds you have we can help figure it out. Not many lay white. You have any blue chickens? It should not be any of the red girls, or the buff, unless a brown leghorn maybe? Those are the only ones I could see in the pics :) Isn't it fun with those first eggs? It is fun for us to see what you are getting!

That red one on the left of your Henny looks like she is due anyday as well.

Nope. We have a RIR, BO, 2 sex links (red or gold im not sure), these are the only ones old enough to lay. We also have an SLW and an Amerucona that are around 2 mon old.

That is so weird! No idea what is the deal with the white egg. I wonder if it is just a weird egg because it was the first one...sometimes they do weird things with the first egg or two. Be sure to tell us when you find out! The mystery must be solved! haha!

OH my gosh! 44 posts for me to read this morning! You guys have been busy....and very entertaining

I'm not even going to try to respond to all the posts I haven't responded to in the last 2 days...yikes :) Just know that I've read everything and am thinking of you all in some way, shape or form.

Lisa, do you want my little girl Polish to keep yours company? We have decided to not "do" Polish after all. This way I'll be able to do the 3 breeds I REALLY want to do. :) Howard loves the Polish, but guess who takes care of them every day? All 4 bantam Polish we have are super pretty, anybody interested? Lisa, if you want this little girl, I can bring her to you today. Or if you'd rather have Storm (the slightly older cuckoo Polish girl) Just shoot me a text.

Kimmy your garden is so stinking cute! I was admiring your adorable coop, then I realized how fun that garden is. You have a super cute everything in your yard. Hope that smoke clears soon, and everybody is safe from the fires. I have not gotten on the news, there has got to be something burning up around here too our air is awful.
Red, You should let us see your new ride. I am so glad you got a replacement. What an ordeal! Now about that job, crossies you get it. That just seems like a great fit! (except the clothing dept part, I am rooting for the chick dept down the road if you can get your foot in the door haha) Many chicks would be much happier in this world if you were there watching over them.
Hoping Sphinx' lavendar is improved again today....I was looking at the Garry Farm egg pictures where they came from, she does have quite a few green tinted egg layers. I noticed she has some FBCM eggs too, wow they are really dark. My lav's eggs are still teensy weensie.
Trying really really hard not to call the guy that birdguy was talking about last night. White Ameraucanas, blue eggs, super cheap, not shipped? , I really do not want to fire up that incubator til spring. So instead I am eating all the chocolate in the house. Trying to distract myself.....It has been 6 weeks with the bators in the closet....
Last thought this morning...I am still having dilemma's trying to incorporate my little bantam polish into my big girls, she is just so tiny, it is not working at all so far. The teens have learned to put up with her in the yard pen, but they are getting too big and need to be in the run. But that little polish has no buddies and cannot be in the run yet, too small. What to do. (Without getting more chicks!)

Oh oh, guess who's getting more chicks next week? And polish at that! But then, your baby will be bigger bigger. My little polish has settled down. She just walks around with them, runs to them when they seem to be getting some goodies in there somewhere. So cute. Tiny, in there with the bigger babies. I am so glad that Scott made that run at the end of the coop. This is working out great as a grow out pen for now. The other one I was using, just has the Silkies in there. I am hoping they will accept a few Polish when the get bigger. We shall see.
Lisa, I am thinking there is another fire up your way. Surely that smoke in Kimmy's area wouldn't go that far.
