Dear heavens I swear I am slowly losing a bit of my soul with this excitement and anticipation waiting on just the first pip!

This is my first attempted hatch. Tell me the anticipation is less challenging after the first successful batch! Lol

Yeah, it gets better pretty soon you wont even hover over the incubator, you'll stop tapping the top and clucking at eggs.
There, I lied to you, but I feel all kinds of dirty about it.

Nope, it doesnt end. When I had my eggs in the incubator, on day 21 I was always hovering, tapping, and making strange alien-sounding clicking noises to them. I did this every single batch. Also, congratulations on the chicks! When those cute babies hatch, keep in mind we love pictures!

I still write hatch days in a planner and won't make any other plans for that day.

When they start pipping the egg during the hatch, they like when you whistle softly at them through the listen hole in the incubator. Sometimes they peep back at you and start pipping more at the egg ..totally cute.

nope it don't you just get more comfortable with it once you got it down and stress a lot less
