Uuuum... when are they no longer chicks?

  1. So, my chicks are 16 weeks old and THEY ARE BIG! [IMG]

I feel so weird coming to the "raising chicks" forum for them, but as they haven't laid eggs yet--they're chicks, right?

Is there a point at which I need to leave all you lovely folks and pose questions to a more appropriate forum? Say it ain't so--and if it is, tell me where to go!

(expecting eggs soon!!! Opened the nest boxes!!!)

At 16 weeks, I would be calling them young pullets.
this forum is for ALL CHICKENS of any age. I do not know of a friendlier place to go than right here to learn all there is to kow about raising chickens.
So it "ain't so". There I said it. Hope you stay.

I have read that at 3 months old, basically they cease to be chicks.
  4. Well, you'd be hard pressed for me to actually LEAVE; but I may have posted my questions about them in another forum here... kwim?

Okay... young pullets. And awaiting EGGS!!!!!
