I have nine chicks ordered for early Sept. Should I have the hatchery vaccinate them for anything?

Is this a stupid question? I have only raised meat birds and haven't thought about this before.....Any advice?

I've never had my hatchery birds vaccinated. The choice is yours whether you want to or not. Here's a couple of links for you to read over if you wish:

anyone who has had a chicken die of Marek's Disease might suggest that vaccination, but there are differing opinions on vaccinations in general

It's NOT a stupid question. Yes, vaccinate for Marek's. If you are going to add chickens in the future, it may save their life.
