Around here it's called a staycation. Stay home and do stuff that needs gettin done.

I think it's cool to use what would have been spent on a vacation to make (or upgrade) one's own little backyard-oasis to enjoy all year.

I've seen all the beautiful places I want to in Arkansas. Hot Springs is one of my favorites, but expensive.

Next month we are going to break the bank and finally make the trip to Florida to see my dad. Yeah, we can't afford it; but I can't afford never to see my dad alive again either.

We do staycations sometimes. Camp out in our own yard. Barbecue, have a bonfire, no TV no computer just each other and the outdoors.
