So, I have a small, multi-generational flock that I want to begin vaccinating. I feel that my older hens may have had some sort of respiratory infection. I added new hens last year, not realizing I could vaccinate them on a small scale. I just purchased 4 little chicks that I'm adding to the flock and I am wanting to vaccinate all new chicks from now on, starting with these. I'm planning to vaccinate for Newcastle/Bronchitis and Mycoplasma Gallisepticum. Meanwhile, I see mixed reviews as to whether it is effective to vaccinate flocks that will be free-ranging. I am also unsure whether I should vaccinate ALL of my flock or not. (One 5 yo rooster, Two 4yo hens, nine 10 month old hens, 4 week old pullets) Any insight would be appreciated!
