Hi All,
I am a bit new at this.
I hatched out some chicks but need to get them vaccinated against Marek's disease as I know someone who has had a young hen just die of it (hen got post a mortem!!). I am terrified that my 10 babies will also die, as the virus is "everywhere". It seems that you can only purchase the vaccinations in 1000 dose vials and the extra cannot be stored. Does anyone know of how I can get hold of smaller quantities?
Thanks so much

Unless something new has occurred you can only get the large doses. But you can cut the wafer in to quarters and mix with the appropriate amount of solution and reseal the unmixed wafers for use at a later date.

The vaccine is pretty cheap anyway. I bought 1000 doses to vaccinate 9 chicks and threw the rest away. I would worry about keeping the vaccine sterile if I broke up the wafer and saved it for another time.
