Vaccination

Is it compulsory to vaccinate your chooks or chicks.
That might depend on what state you're actually in, but I don't think so. Otherwise when you bought birds from Hatchery vaccination wouldn't be an option, it would be mandatory.

Maybe try going to your state thread, or even thr legal section to find out about your specific location.

Hi @Jedstar no it's not compulsory! I know people that show birds that don't even vaccinate, so it's really a personal thing for your own bio security. I'd say the only place that may expect vaccination is the bigger poultry shows. But if showing is something you want to do it's best to get in touch with your show committee to confirm this. I haven't been able to get any vaccines where I live, they just aren't easy to access. I do add this VetRX to their drinking water every now and then (espcially if I hear my neighbours have sick birds) as my precaution but apple cider vinegar works just as well. Its just a natural immune booster.
