Vaccinations

I am new to raising chickens & am so looking forward to doing it the right way from the start. I will be getting 10 day old pullets in about a week. Is it necessary to have them vaccinated? Pros/cons? The more I read the more confused I get. Please help.

They normally would have to be vaccinated as day old chicks for Mareks's or cocci. I think there are some vaccines for older birds for other diseases, but I am not familiar with them.

Look up you local ag. extension office and ask them. They should be able to give you the info. you are looking for.
