Vaccinations

My first order from McMurray I didn't get them vaccinated.

I wish I would have.

Later after my own chicks hatched, I vaccinated the entire lot for Marek's.

I had one react badly and die... I don't know what I did wrong... it did in one of my EE's.

BUT, I'm glad I did it and feel alot better about my flock now.

Did you have a problem with your first order? If not, why do you regret not having them vaccinated? Just curious

I vaccinated my chick I got from MM. Did it because they offered it. I'm new to chickens and thought it was common practice. Not sure if it was a good or bad thing to do.

Do they have a vaccine for cocci? If they do, that is one that really may be worth getting. Cocci is a parasite though, can they vaccinate for that?

Yes there is a vac for cocci.

Talk to your county extension agent and ask whether any vaccines are recommended in your area.
