Valentine's day hatch-a-long 2019

woke up this morning to a little black turkey running around playing soccer in the incubator.... silly baby. A day early but healthy as can be..... lol

So far 5 out of 9 eggs are hatched .... one looks like a dud the other 3 are chirping

I ended up with 6 new chicks. The little grey chick is the family favorite. Overall I am pleased with the results from my homemade incubator. It is fun to see the little chicks hatch after so much stress about whether the incubator is working correctly. I learned a lot and will make some improvements for the next attempt.

only 1 ended up hatching in the end early hours of 15th. Another died trying. Took a picture yesterday. Female?
