Can't wait until the 24th to see those courting photos. My Appenzeller is such a Casanova, every time he sees a new hen, he does his dance and says "Hey baby" in a deep Barry White voice, even tho he's mostly white and skinny.

I'm glad you think so. The people that live next to me think I'm psychotic, not hooting. Although the feeling is mutual. I can't remember the woman's name who lives next door but I call her CrazyNeighborLady. She's nice enough and her son likes my chickens so they put up with the roosters crowing (although it's legal) but she had the audacity to HUG me the first time I met her. I was caught off guard and couldn't sidestep in time. I am not a hugging kind of girl, especially not from strangers. I'm used to it now... she still attempts to hug me every time I see her. One of these days I'm going to be conveniently soiled with chicken poo and forget to mention it when she goes in for the kill.
