Valentine's Day Hatch

I sent my eggs out late and then I forgot to set my eggs yesteday so I set them today. 5 of my Seramas, 3 of my Ameracanas, 7 Swap EE, 3 swap LH/EE, 2 swap brown super egg layers. For a total of 20. I have other serama eggs in the same bator due earlier and I just moved 10 Black & Partridge bantam wyndottes to the hatcher today. Ok then I bought 6 + showgirls & 5 + frizzles eggs on e-bay. My bators will be full. I forgot to mention the new little brinsea mini eco I just got filled with 1 amer 2 bantams and 5 serama eggs that I set on the 18th.

My brooders & grow out cages WERE full then DH bought me some more Serama/grow out cages for the mud/chicken room. ;)

Oh happy hatching!!

I used to say that if I was below 50 I was sane... then the number changed because I hit 50. I still try to stay near 50 though...

Then I got ducks. :) That starts a whole new 50 count, and I KNOW I don't want 50 ducks. Can you imagine the mess? So that adds more by default to my chicken number, right? Where there's a hole it will be filled with poultry.

Well, I officially set:

9 Yokohama eggs
7 EE/OE eggs
4 Emu Eggs

And will set:

51 Button Quail Eggs
Any Coturnix Quail Eggs that I have

I am still using my nifty home made bator. The Bot Bator. Consisting of a pot, a 40 watt incandescent light bulb, bubble wrap for insulation, and a plastic tray on top of the water in the bottom. It hold steady at 99*F and 50% humidity.

I will be setting tomorrow morning. 6 or so mutt eggs, plus whatever Hot2Pot sent me. They have been in the postal system for almost a week so I don't have much hope, but I am setting them anyways! =)

Haha, y'all don't feel bad! 6 years ago I started out with 10 hens and now: 68 adult chickens, 13 three week olds, 5 eight week olds. 10 adult ducks and 4 <8 week olds. 15 adult Coturnix quail, 6 <5 week olds. 65 button quail. 8 guineas. 1 turkey. I think that's it. Aaaand I'm preeetty sure I'm youner than evryone else on here, and I have the largest population in my area, perhapse he entire county. I dunno... AND I'M HATCHING MOOOORE!!!
