Our neighbor found this chicken in the Home Depot parking lot today. She has some kind of deformity, possibly valgus. Her thigh bone and joints feel fine. Her leg bone feels quite literally twisted. She is eating and drinking but having a hell of a time taking more than two of three steps at a time. I’m worried we may have to cull unless we can find a way to help her move around. Ideas?
Does she ever put the foot down so that you could take a picture of her legs? The foot looks a bit deformed or twisted. That may go along with the leg deformity. Here is a good picture of valgus deformity in the right leg:
