Valley Quail, broody hens?

I have a trio in a pen thats 14'X24' with some other ducks: wild, migratory calm ducks... They all get along great, but my question is, will the hen quail go broody and raise their own? Or are they all different and you never know? I haven't heard of quail rasing their own in captivity, but I haven't had them long..

I have a setup similar to yours. Valley quail together with ducks, and pheasants. From my expirience valley quail will not raise their own chicks. They just lay eggs and ignore them. Although every once in a while they will make a nest, they never incubate.

They do go broody, but it is very rare in captivity.
