Vampire hens?????????

I have one hen that plucks her feathers and pecks herself until she bleeds, she then drinks her own blood. Some of the other hens will follow her and pick up the blood drops she leaves behind. Are they vampires or satanic demon hens? Why do they do this? How can I make it stop?

No, this is not normal behavior. I would check your chickens over very well for external parasites and treat and re-treat in a week if you find any. Thats the only thing I can think of that would cause a chicken to scratch or over groom itself to the point of bleeding. I would also separate her since the rest of the flock are showing interest in her issue, their simple investigating of the blood could very well turn into something much, much worse.
