Hi, just thought I'd stop in and say thanks for all the help the forum has already given me. I think I found the forum more than a year ago when I started thinking about coop designs. I got a lot of great ideas from the examples posted here. I've been slowly working at my coop and run while keeping my eye out for suitable birds. This weekend I finally layed my hands on 6 11 week old pullets: 2 of each Black Australorps, Siver Laced Wyandottes and Barred Rocks.
I've raised chickens on and off for years but haven't been able to have them for a while. I had trouble in the past with Opposums and mystery preditors, but I think I have a fairly good coop and run now, which is good since there are coyotes and hawks and eagles aplenty around here.
Though I'm on agricultural land, I just have a little piece - I don't think technically I'm really allowed to have chickens, but for me, its a political act, so I don't care
Hopefully I will post some pics of my coop and pullets soon!
Thanks again for all the help!
