Vanilla for buffalo gnats

Well the gnats are back and worse then ever does imitation vanilla work? or pure. I hate to lock them in their coop for 3 weeks again.

I don't know if you've found your answer or not, but I tried imitation on myself yesterday and I had maybe two or three gnats fly up to me than buzz away, I'm trying it with the chickens today

I even hung the rag I used over the coop door to ward off evil bugs
