vanishing eggs.

i have 41 hens 2 of them are game. 1 of my game hens has just gone broody and had three eggs. this morning she is in a different box and no sign of the eggs. no shells nothing wet. its 15 degrees outside or id say snake. any ideas. john

There are more things then snakes, that eat eggs Rats, dogs, and chickens themselves to name a few. Chickens can be fairly through cleaning up. Did someone else collect eggs?

no one else collected them and i still have not seen them. im watching close and have not found tracks or anything.

If you haven't seen any tracks I would lean towards something small that can carry the eggs off and not leave any easily seen trace. Like rats.
