We finally got our coop up and running! There are still a few more things that need to be done but the chickens are in it and happy.
We used the garden coop plan but left the front of the henhouse off for now since we're experiencing 100+ degree weather here and I'm afraid a closed in henhouse will be too hot for the ladies. My tentative plan is to cover the front with a tarp in the winter to keep it dry and a bit warmer. Since it's mostly in the shade we only covered half of it (and put wire over the rest) so that the hens can get some sun. We're also going to put some sort of siding on the outside of the henhouse and I want to plant things around the outside of the coop.
Edited to show a picture of the bunting I added to the coop (leftover from our wedding).
