Myshire lists 20+
Jmf 50+
Kdale coturnix 40+
Gopherridge 10 or 11+
Genesis Im certain over 5
Kansas City probably 8 or more
I apologize for ones I have missed

Can you provide the links to these folks? I'm VERY NEW to quail and other than Myshire Farm, had not heard of or seen the others (have done google searches). None of these showed up when googling Coturnix Quail or eggs... Since I haven't gotten any yet, I'd like to educate myself and see the different colors.

We have problems with shipping to our address... PO seems to think we are on the West Coast and several orders of eggs and chicks have been tracked going the wrong direction before turning around and coming to NC. I try to find breeders that are closer by state as that seems to be better. Not listing a state anywhere in the info on your site is a quick way to lose my interest.

Do you have info on Kdale? I found their FB page and parsing through it for info is almost impossible - do they sell chicks or eggs or just enthusiasts? What state?

Wow - Found Gopher Ridge Quail and even w/ FB they have an impressive amount of information. I have not found where they list 40 varieties of Coturnix quail - on their sales section, they only have 11 and actually only list Jumbo Pharaoh, TX A&M & recessive White in their group egg sale (not individual varieties). Being in GA, somewhat close to us in NC, I may very well be ordering from them when I'm ready to start!

Same with James Marie Farms (JMF). Don't understand why their website didn't pop up when I did google searches last year. Very informative website and FB page.

Finally found Genesis. Sent a FB message. Their website is not working. Did not find a list on the FB page as to what varieties they actually have.

Also found Kansas City Quail. Their website is a bit harder to get through, but I did find pics of the varieties they have available. At the moment, they are further away than some of the others, I saved their site, but may not order from them at this time.

I LOVE "spotted" and will have some Tuxedo in different color varieties eventually. Will just start out with Pharoah jumbo and Texas A&M white (hmm, interesting to read that the recessive whites are a larger bird and easier to maintain larger size) - both known to be larger varieties.

Thank you for listing these particular breeders - that helped me a lot. I didn't see the numbers of varieties that you listed after their names, but found enough variety close enough to me to make me very happy... :)

Enthusiast - WHAT is this one???? BEAUTIFUL

Edit to add - my post doesn't show the quote... it's the image -

and looks like a "self blue" or "Lavender" in chicken colors... I LOVE that color - would be even better in a Tuxedo (LOLOLOL).

Genesis carries lavender, Andalusian, progressive pied- which is like tuxedo but the whites progressive with each moly and age
Gopherridge and Kansas City have many varieties
K Dale Coturnix have all that are listed plus many many other true pure and truly rare VARIETIES. They are enthusiasts and only recently started to offer a few eggs

:thumbsup
