Vaulted silkies

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I, too, don't keep Silkies.
A vaulted skull in a Silky can often mean they don't even have the top of their skull present which leaves them extremely prone to brain injury. And because Silkies have such strange feathering versus a normal chicken, they are often the victims of abuse. Which can result in their deaths if they are pecked in the top of the head.

HI, does anyone have a picture of a vaulted silkie adult next to a non-vaulted silkie adult?
would anyone rather one than the other? and for what reason?
I have silkies, both vaulted and not vaulted.

Welcome to BYC!! :frow

Unvaulted silkie 1 mo old. When unvaulted, they have crests and even "pom poms", just not as big as the vaulted ones get.
