Vegan diet for chickens - is it unhealthy?

This makes my head hurt.

This makes me want to hurt the heads of vegans who do stuff like this. It is animal abuse and they should be arrested for it.

Exactly! Some people even feed their dogs nothing but vegetables which is just wrong considering they are carnivores.

They are omnivores like us. My pooch will eat veggies left over from my dinner but quite obviously goes nuts for osobuco.

It’s very sad, even with humans, vegan diets don’t always work. Doing it wrong can result in malnutrition, this is even worse with animals because they simply aren’t built for leafy vegetables 24/7 (depending on the type of animal of course, but in the situation of dogs, they can’t live off of them and live a healthy life, maybe at the bare minimum, survive.) but survival isn’t living.

This is what i always tell people: People who are like this, forcing people to be vegan, hating meat eaters, forcing animals to be vegan, etc, that has nothing to do with being vegan, it has to do with their personality. Heck, i bet they are the exact same with politics, religion, sports, etc. That is just who they are! And they think they are some kind of activist but in reality give us a bad name.

Not all vegans and vegetarians are like that. I do agree that some can get carried away and can be rude. But most of vegans and vegetarians want to help all God's creatures and work to make the world a better place. Most of us do not want to force any creature to be vegan or vegetarian much less hate people for eating meat. My whole entire family eats meat and I love them all the same. Some people can be more fiery depending on their personality and the way they describe things and treat others. This person who is forcing this poor chicken to be vegan, I disagree with. You honestly can't force a chicken to be like this and it is unhealthy in these circumstances.

I totally agree! Great points. I love animals and treat them like gods living angels (because that is what they are.) And what i was trying to get with from my point before, you can be vegan and be rude to meat eaters, meat eaters and be rude to vegans, or the opposite and respect others even if you disagree or its not apart of what you believe in.

My dad is a pescatarian, my mom a vegan like me, and my other relatives meat eaters/vegetarians, but i love them all the same no matter what because i know whats right for me.

I totally agree! Great points. I love animals and treat them like gods living angels (because that is what they are.) And what i was trying to get with from my point before, you can be vegan and be rude to meat eaters, meat eaters and be rude to vegans, or the opposite and respect others even if you disagree or its not apart of what you believe in.

My dad is a pescatarian, my mom a vegan like me, and my other relatives meat eaters/vegetarians, but i love them all the same no matter what because i know whats right for me.

Animals are so beautiful and wonderful, little angels! Most of them are much more innocent than us humans and I like to think about how they are killed for our "benefit".

I also will touch meat and dog or cat food. I know I would rather not but carnivorous creatures, like dogs or cats, have no choice but to eat meat, and I'm doing it for them.

Unfortunately for me, I am not allowed to be vegan until I am out of the house but I'm working with what I've got! My mom wanted me to be at least pescetarian but I just can't, fish matter too. I'm glad I'm not alone in what I am trying to do. I find it hard to meet other people who are vegan and vegetarian was well!

Awww thanks! It is really hard to find dog and cat food that treats the animals with care and unfortunately I am having to buy the kind that probably mistreats them. But hopefully I can buy a better one in the future!
