Vegetable plants

Hi
I am new to backyard chickens. I have some cucumber and cabbage (both green and purple) that never produced veggies, can I give these plants to my chickens? What about red, green or yellow peppers?
I already found that potatoes and tomatoes are poison so those are going to the compost pit..

Throw them in the compost pile too, except for the cabbages, those I would toss to the birds.

I have feed tons of tomato to both chickens and ducks...
I haven't seen anything about not feeding tomatoes

Tomato plants are poisonous to chickens, but not the tomatoes themselves

I had my flock break into my garden... full of tomato plants... they ate them all like locusts, only sticks were left... and those chickens were happy and healthy .

Me... I was sad....



Personally.... I would give it all to the chickens.

Personally, I'd give everything to the chickens, and trust that they know what not to eat.
(Today I had potato peels, sweet potato peels, and other vegis which I threw in the run. They ate the vegis and left the peels. Your mileage may vary but I tend to trust animals!)
