I am very happy to see you have a great sense of humor!!! Of course I have not read the whole thread. I just GET people who may be on the outside of normal.

I am a vegetarian. I don't eat fish or any kind of meat. I have been a vegetarian for three years now. My goodness, what a long time! I am so proud.

I am the ONLY vegetarian in my family or extended family. I don't know any vegetarians but am supported by my parents. They may tease me good naturedly about it but they have no problems with my decision. They even buy the Morning Stars, yumm

, just for me.

I decided to go vegetarian because I have always been an animal lover, disagreed with the treatment and attitude towards animals, and always wanted to be one so one day I said I was going to and of course everyone was like yah okay, but I did it and proved them wrong, which they are so proud of me and don't know how I stuck with it. I haven't regretted my decision since. In the end, I couldn't stand knowing that I was killing an animal to eat. I think it is cruel and wrong. What makes an animal any less important than a person? Just because eating meat is what most people do doesn't make it the right or only way.

I know that getting chickens changed the way I thought. Even though I became a vegetarian before I got chickens it hit home visually, I guess you could say. Like people always say they're going to have chicken to eat and I think because the chicken doesn't neccesarily look like a chicken they don't realize that it was once an animal. It's just food to them like a potato. When I look at my chickens and think of eating chicken I get sick. I don't know how people do it without feeling guilty.

I am an animal rights person to the max. EXTREMELY. And of course you get the people that want to argue their opinion against yours or kinda make fun of or degrade your decision. There will always be people like that and I don't let it bother me. Lots of times I ignore them if its optional

or I explain what I think and believe. I'm sorry for going on and on but as you can tell I am passionate about this. I am soo happy to see other people that feel the same way. I was sitting here reading and nodding my head to some of the posts. Also, I forgot, I love lots of food but the Morning Star is one of the "vegetarian" foods I really like. By the way this was a wonderful idea.
