The chicks, 4-week-old Blue Australorps, "Assorted Wyandottes", and a California White and their 6-week-old Light Brahma sisters can take or leave dried mealworms -- mostly leave them.

But hold a weed in the coop where they can reach it and you see proof that chickens truly are dinosaurs. They're particularly fond of sourgrass, aka, wood sorrel.

Yep, chickens are little dinosaurs! Also, nice feeder and waterer you have there. And, of course, nice chickens!

If only they'd actually eat from that feeder and drink from that waterer. They're too big for the little chick feeder and waterer and keep turning them over. But it's been too hot to attempt to force the transition to the nipple waterer.
