I have an egg that I put in my bator to test for fertility, and hopefully to hatch. Today is day 4 - 5. There was what looked to be good veining. Would I be able to see veining at this point? Does that mean its fertile?

I have the same thing. After 5 days, the egg is veining and it is a good sign.
Have a question about other eggs.... Can it take longer than 5 days to begin veining? Other eggs are show no veins-yet?

Dont toss any eggs till day 12ish by then you will know for sure what eggs are good and what eggs are bad/duds !! Unless they are stinky or ozzing.

Some eggs are just harder to tell than others.

On light eggs it is very easy to see the veins developing at day three. With dark eggs it may take longer. Around day 5 you will see a little dot floating around inside. It will be about half the size of a pea. For beginners I would wait to day 10 to discard the eggs. You will know by then for sure. There will be a dark shape inside the egg. Veins are harder to see as the days go by and the chick starts to grow. At least that is true with dark shelled eggs.
