Velma and Daphne's first swim

Hi there,

Our two ducks are two weeks old. They are named Velma and Daphne.

For all the fellas here that want to do something with their daughters, I have hit pay dirt. My daughter absolutely loves these ducks and this has been as enriching an experience as any I have had. Every step, from picking them out of the book, reading about them, making the duck coop to feeding them and holding them.

Btw, we are throwing them crushed grapes.

They are adorable, Congrats for hitting the jack pot with your daughter, to me there isn't anything more rewarding than teaching and seeing children learn to love & care for animals. Hopefully you both will enjoy this for a long time. Another treat ducklings and ducks love is peas little english peas you can get them frozen and thaw them in the microwave and toss them into the tub. Fun Fun! also anytime you feed anything other than their starter be sure to offer chick grit, it's the only way they have to chew up anything other than their starter. Thanks so much for sharing
