Not sure this is in the right area to post, but I AM looking for a cure of sorts.
Is there any way to clear the feathers from the vent area? Ok, I'm a dog groomer, so I like my animals to have a nice "clean shot" if you will. And it seems my chicken always has a bit of dried poop residue on those vent feathers. I'm looking into getting a diaper for her so she can run around the house more, but I'm thinking that with all those feathers tucked up into a diaper, it's going to be worse. Bird poop dries like cement. I'd love to "clip" the area, but not sure how I can on a bird. Don't really want to "pluck" them.
Any suggestions?

Call me stupid when it comes to birds, but i didn't want to trim unless I know there was going to be no blood. I know from long ago hearing about being careful trimming wings because of the blood feathers. This area around the vent seems more like downy fluff, I didn't think it would bleed but wanted to make sure. So I can just trim it off?? That would be VERY helpful!!
