After giving my poor hen her first epsom salt bath after discovering she has vent gleet, this came out of her?? Not sure what it is or if it is a symptom of vent gleet.
I’m a first time chicken owner and I only have 3. I’m pretty sure she has vent gleet. I noticed my Piper not being her usual self, laying down and slowly blinking her eyes, not running with my other chickens. When I checked there was hard white chunks stuck to her feathers and little white spots around her vent as well.
I’d also appreciate feedback if what I’m doing is right for vent gleet! I’m doing the isolation, epsom bath, ACV, and yogurt mixed in her food. It’s only been one day since I’ve started these things based on: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/vent-gleet-aka-nasty-chicken-butt.64647/
