Vent holes

My incubator has 2 vent holes on top. Plugged with red caps. Am I supposed to leave those or take them out?

i was told to take first one out for incubation and both for lockdown, but then, i know nothing

I've had advice yes and no. I suppose it depends on the type of incu. With my last hatch and a Genesise 1588 I would take them in and out depending on the temp and humidity. I have a Hova bator 1602n and left them in and didn't have good hatches. I would put them in or out depending on how the temp and humidity go. If it's to high take one out if it's to low put it back in. On hatch day I'd leave one out.
Someone else may say different. One thing I have learned is there are alot of differing opinions. You'll have to practice and see what works for you. All houses and rooms are different and the variables are many.
