Vent issue ***warning pics***

The first vent picture is how it looks today. The second one is how it looked yesterday I put some honey on it. I also bought a spray at tractor supply. I’ve been giving her Epson salt soaks. It looks like she has a fisher on the outside of her vent is this prolapse she should be starting to lay eggs at any time now. I don’t really see anything suggesting egg bound. I just wanna make sure I’m doing everything right. The honey seemed to really help with inflammation. She’s the sweetest thing I hate to see her in any pain.

She probably got a small prolapse, then got vent pecked. I think you are doing good. If the honey is too sticky you could use salve or antibiotic ointment.

Hopefully once it heals it will go back in and she can get back to the flock. Do you think they may be too crowded in their setup?

My coop is huge, plenty of room to spread out. We just built the mother of all coops this winter, I’m spoiled!! So these pieces keep forming in her vent. I took it out because I thought it might’ve been an egg but it wasn’t. It’s the same kind of texture that they get in their bumble foot so I’m wondering if it’s a scab maybe I should just let it be?

I can’t find it. She’s only 5-6m old. Do you think I should put her on an antibiotic?

I think that is too young, too.

If you see another one, cut it open, It should have layers of tissue in it if it is lash material, and a bad odor. You can post a photo, too. You'd want to confirm it before you treat, and a couple of days shouldn't make a huge difference.
