I noticed my hen in the nest box looking as if she were struggling to lay an egg. I picked her up and seen that she was prolapsed with an egg stuck. I soaked her in a warm epsom salt bath. The egg finally came out. Her vent was back to normal the next day but I still kept her separate from the rest of the flock. I continued to wash her bottom with a warm wash cloth and applied an anti microbial spray several times a day. A few days later her vent looks way worse after looking completely normal the day before. Should I just continue to soak her in epsom salt and keep her clean? Or what steps do I need to take now? First picture is original issue. Second and third pictures are the new issue after being almost completely healed.
