Vent sexing and prolapse later on as adults....related?

Im just wondering if anyone has any info or suspicions that vent sexing can cause prolapse later on in a chickens adult life?

I'm highly doubtful. I have vent sexed several birds and none have had a prolapse. It is generally the largest, "fattest" birds in my flock that have the prolapses.

Good to hear, im thinking of buying a few chicks this summer and i want just hens but i didnt want to worry about troubles later on.

Rod, I have read some things that make me believe there is a connection between too-early laying (per the breed) and prolapse. Your thoughts?
