Vent sexing pheasants Question

I Suck At Vent Sexing Youngins.. But With Pheasants I Saw The Need... Look Closely At The Eye Patch When They Dry Off And Day 1 You Can Normally Tell Male From Female (ringnecks) After About 2-3 Days It Gets Questionable Until They Are About 5 To 6 Wks Old Then Visible Again

I wouldn't dare try vent sexing.I'm afraid I may damage the bird in some way.Let them grow out and then you can tell. What's the hurry?Red goldens can be sexed in a week, the males iris(around the eye) is either cream or blue, the hen is brown. They say this holds true for amherst also, but I beg to differ.
