So this is the existing coop…the reason behind 12 chicks arriving in 3 weeks. Being new to chickens since I was a child, I originally thought what a sound solid chicken area, then I ordered the chicks and started researching all that I might need to know. It is a nice predator detouring, spacious, solid area except the coop only has one window and is covered in metal sheeting. Help! How do I cut through the metal sheeting and I’m in Oklahoma so where is the best second vent placed? Just moved here from Colorado so the drastic climate change has me confused. The existing window is directly left of the door and above the nesting boxes big 2’x2’ window. Door faces south. Thank you & blessings.

Adding ventilation just under the roof on front and back would be my start. Tin snips for the metal then a jig saw for the wood wood be my first attempt.
Any special placement for upper vents on south & north side? Sheeting a bit too thick for tin snips on 50+ yr old thumbs, but a torch might burn the old thing down. Thanks
