Ventilation...

Our chicken coop has two very large ventilation vents. As we're approaching cold weather, my mom has covered both shafts with Styrofoam and tarps. She's left one slightly open for air flow, but I fear it won't be enough. The inside of our coop is warm thanks to our four chickens. Do we need to open the vents more? Pictures will come soon.

Well, I have rain/windshields over my ventilation holes since they are pretty long. There is plenty room between the shield and the coop, so really just make sure it has enough room for air to pass through.

Yeah, the link on my profile thing will bring you to a pic of my coop, and the white stuff hanging over the edge of the shingles is what I’m talking about
