Ventilation

Best tips for ventilation?
We got an 8x8 shed, it has one window that does not open. What’s the best tips for ventilation and tempature control? We were thinking something similar to an attic fan?
Too much ventilation is better than not enough.. and unless you live in the desert. Your fan is overkill. Never mind temperature control.. unless you are cooking chicken in an oven. They do just fine..

My question is, how often and for how long should the windows be open for? On cold nights is it okay to lock it up tightly, or will that be bad for respiration.

Where are you located? Climate matters, though ventilation is just as important in a cold climate as in a warm one because while chickens tolerate cold DRY air very well (they're wearing built-in down parkas), cold WET air is a recipe for frostbite.

As long as your ventilation is above the birds heads while they're sitting on the roost you won't need to close vents at all -- except perhaps for sideways rain that's defeating your roof overhangs/awnings.

My Little Monitor Coop came through Hurricane Florence bone-dry.

We are in Grey Highlands. The vents are above their heads. I am still new in only my second season of chickins so am trying to do everything right. This information is very helpful.
Thank you so much!☺️🐣🐔
