Venting & Humidity? First time incubating...

Why is the humidity so high? Have you tried squeezing out the wicking medium?

@TomCahalan idk. I put one cup of water in it 2 days ago. It’s been running for two days. I tried calibrating the hygrometer and I put a tablespoon and a half of salt and a teaspoon of water and put in a ziplock bag and it’s been sitting for about four hours and it says 60%..? Did I do it wrong? How do I fix it?

It depends on your incubator, but that seems like a lot to me. Can you remove some of it?

@TomCahalan so I just went to my incubator to dry it out a little and there was just like a teaspoon of water left so I dried it out so not it’s all dry no water. The temp is at 99-100ish and there is no water but the humidity is a little high still but there is no water in it so can’t rlly do anything about it , right?
Well should I pop my eggs in? The incubator has been running 48 hrs.

And I tried checking the temperature one to make sure it was good and so I did the ice cubes in a glass and my thermometer only read to 50 and above and it immediately dropped to 60 and kept going slowly. Then I put it in the freezer for and few seconds and it was all the way down. I was hoping to put the eggs in yesterday and I really hope I don’t have to wait till tomorrow then I might put tomorrow’s egg in there too which I shouldn’t cuz I already have 4
