Fellow Verizon Wireless customers who use their USB-style wireless internet service, have you had any trouble with your service? Our internet "card" (the USB drive) is causing our laptop to crash every 2 weeks or so. Today was the 5th time it crashed. The first time, we lost EVERYTHING. We call Verizon and since we are on an Alltel contract, they will not send us a new USB drive without upgrading to a new Verizon contract. Is anybody else having problems with Verizon?

We are getting DSL through the phone company next week because we are just sick of rebooting our laptop.

ok, here's the take from an IT guy... REBOOT once a day
the usb card from verizon needs constant update. This is the reason I still have 1 windows machine left in the house... otherwise my USB720 (old school I know) resides in a Kyrocery KR-1 wireless router and spreads it throughout the house

use the VZ Access Manager... then I think it's tools or settings? Then you go to activation.... Well that's also the update function. My router won't do that automatically otherwise I woudln't have any windows computers in this house.

I have Verizon DSL..and i have still lost service a few times with DSL.
I hate verizon..really , i do. They're customer service sucks.. good luck trying trying to find an english speaking person.

i have left them! After YEARS of having phone, internet, wireless cell, cable.................i RAN from them!! GOOD BYE HEADACHE

I had one of those because it was the only thing that "worked" where I lived.

Can't count the number of times it broke or the number of times I had to call those people. Or the number of times I had trouble with them.

NEVER AGAIN!
