Hey Everybody,
I barley joined BYC and I am very happy to join this community :D
I just have one concern about a chicken that I am currently raising. It's a white leghorn and she is about
2 months since I bought her at the store. She was the biggest out of the batch of chicks that were there.
I bought 3 others the week prior to her and she has grown a BUNCH! She is about twice the size of the rest of my chickens.
I was a little concerned at first and I still am a little. I want to know if its normal for them to grow that much or is it a disorder she has? I have a picture of her in my photo album on my profile if you are wondering how she looks like.

Thanks a Whole lot guys! I appreciate it!.

P.S. I got her at a store called CAL RANCH.

maybe the other chickens you bought are a smaller breed. Is there a possibility that your fast growing chicken is really a rooster? You may want to post a clear photo & age on the "what breed or gender is this" thread

! Great to have you here. I'm also wondering if the big chicken isn't a different breed....like maybe a Cornish Cross which is a fast growing and HUGE meat chicken. I tried to find the photo you posted but couldn't. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the advice everyone! And it may be a cornish breed it has very large feet and sometimes has trouble walking ill see if I can post a picture!.(:

Welcome to BYC. Checked out your photo album, and the third bird from the left, top row is indeed a Cornish X. Understand that they are bred for rapid growth and generally do not have good longevity.
