Very Discouraged

Yesterday the one that had a hard time hatching died. My son said it looked like something was wrong so I picked her up. I tried to get her to drink some water; she drank a bit, ate some, her eyes were closed. I just held her and talked to her. She just curled up and went to sleep. I buried her with Wendigo and Tillie.

Today, my very first little chick, who I call "Little Bit" is scooting around on one foot. She had curled toes so I put the bandage "boot" on her for a couple of days and it seemed to straighten her toes. The foot doesn't seem to be curled but she is barely using it. Should I do something, or let her be? She is eating, drinking, and pooping normally. I was wondering if I should but a bandage back on for a day.

50% to 85 % is standard with USPS shipped eggs 100% is is an exceptional job of hatching . I am getting ready to set eggs that have been in transit USPS for over 8 days now :ducall I can do is pray they aren't damaged beyond repair :fl🤢

I'd probably put the boot on for another day or two, and add some vitamins to her water. Curled toes can sometimes be caused (or at least contributed to) by vitamin deficiencies. Doesn't hurt to try!
