Very excited

Hi all, I joined backyard chickens a few weekd ago when i got my first 3 chicks (blue rangers, now 9 wks old). I can't believe that I'm so into them. My partner suggested i get them as i've been suffering with depression and he thought they would be theraputic for me. Well he was right (for once, lol). And now i'm hooked. Just ordered 4 more girls; 2 Blackrocks and 2 Speckaldys...never thought i would be this excited.

Animals are very therapeutic, I've even heard of chickens being used in nursing homes to cheer folks up. A lot of the patients recall their parents or grandparents raising chickens and have many stories to tell.

Glad you are enjoying your chickens, they are so entertaining and interesting. And they do make you get up, go outside and do stuff which is always good.
