Very first egg

Today one of my chickens laid there first egg. So happy all the work me and my family have done to get to this point. So I take the egg into the house to show the family and my son says can I see? I said sure be carful with it. He looks at me like dah dad it's a egg. Half a sec later he drops it on the floor. I hate waist so scrambled egg for dogs it is. I would have loved to try my first free ranged egg. There are many more coming so no biggie. First eggs are so tiny almost half the size.

If it was half the size, that's a big first egg. Mine have all been about 1/4 the size, the first egg being one of the largest from that particular girl. The 2nd girl to lay has bigger eggs, but still small.
