Here are my babies, hopefully on the way to me today. I just got my first incubator a Brinsea Eco (great sale on them right now) I plan on reading through all the directions tonight and getting everything ready. I'm so nervous about this, but thanks to a fellow BYC'er I should have good eggs to start with! Thanks farmin'chick

Pretty eggs! The ones on the right appear to be bantam? What breed? Good luck!! Come join us on the February Hatch-Along.

I thought I would not be big on hatching, but after our first time we were hooked. I hope all goes well. I have never used that kind of bator, but I think they look cool!

you are correct, the ones on the right are bantams. I believe they are frizzle cochin bantams or EE bantams. I'll have to wait until they get to me to see for sure, they may also be partrige cochins

The LF eggs are Ameracauna and a couple of EE, and the bantams are Partridge Splash over Partridge silkie and White Cochin Bantam Frizzle. The Frizzle eggs are untested -- hope they do well for you! The Ameracauna eggs have been going gangbusters for me here, but that's not shipped. Happy hatching!

thanks for clarifying for my farmin'chick.

I read the directions on the bator again today. I'm really hoping they come tomorrow!

set the incubator up last night and it appeared to be working fine

The eggs arrived this afternoon and they were all fine, no cracks and they looked great. After letting them settle a little and reach room temperature, I put them in. I set my calendar for 19 days to stop the turning. I guess thats all I have to do.

LOL! That, and hang over the incubator windows watching, watching, watching the little eggs go back and forth in the turner for three weeks! I talked to my first batch EVERY day, and cheered for them when they were pipping and hatching! Have tons of fun. Hope the test run of your bator and my eggs goes well for you.

day 6, had a little trouble getting the humidity up, but it seems to be holding now. I had to buy a hygrometer to monitor it as one does not come on the eco20. Tried my hand at candling and I could see the veining on all of the bantam eggs. I can't see through the green eggs. At day 10 I will try again and hopefully improve on my makeshift candler (a box with a hole in it and a lamp under it)
