I looked at my eggs this morning. And there is a little hole in it. I guess it is what you call a pip. Like I said. I have never hatched out eggs before. Today is suppose to be the hatch day. What do I do just wait on them to do what they do.

Like Sourland said, be patient and let them do their thing. Chicks can take up to 24 hours to hatch from pip to finish. Good luck with your hatch!

Well done.
Pipping stage is a very stressful time for me, like an expectant father.
As the other folks said, leave them to it, but be prepared for those that are too weak to survive.

Sad but a reality.

When they hatch do I just leave them in the incubator. How long till I take them out. Do I leave the temp around 100. Please all info for what I am about to go through will sure help.

Thanks

They can survive on their yolk sack for 3 days. I'd leave the chicks in there as long as you can up to 3 days. If opened earlier you may risk dropping the humidity and shrink wrapping the others that are ready to hatch. And leave the temp alone.

Ok, one egg pipped yesterday morning as previously stated and there is still movement in the egg. This waiting is killing me. I see that another pipped last night.. Come on babies. Hard to wait when this is hour first time. It probably gets no better though.
