So we have about 36 ladies between 5-6 months old. A mix of BR, RIR, EE, and RSL. Egg production steadily climbs about another one per day. We're finding "new" eggs with paper thin shells daily too, so we know everybody is starting to get there. But yesterday, this happened!
Over 3" long.
For reference I wear a size XXL glove.
I expect thin shell eggs or small eggs from new producers, but none of you told me to expect this! No we do not have ducks and I did not see an emu strolling around the property yesterday. I kinda wish I had an incubator....
