Very odd egg!

My wyandotte hen is about 20 months old and has always layed the most perfect eggs until this morning. Here is a picture of it. It feels like all shell but hard as a rock. I haven't cracked it open yet. I'm wondering why is this? IV herd that in the beginning when they start laying eggs you might get a few Strange ones. But never herd that when they get older. I feed her crushed egg shells daily is that not a good idea? In need of feed back. please

Hens will lay funky eggs occasionally and as they age, yes they can get funkier! 20 months is not that old yet, so I would suspect you won't find too many more like this. As long this is not a regular occurance than I would't worry about it. Is she molting, I have been told that stress, molting can cause the same oddities that are seen in new layers.
