I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my favorite little bantam buff cochin roo 2 days ago as well - we knew he was all roo - all attitude - from the first day we got him. He was about 12 weeks old and had just started to crow - so cute! He was hit by a car while out free ranging. Maybe irresponsible of me not to keep them all penned up all the time, but I so enjoyed watching them make their rounds in the yard. Just felt like that was the natural way for a bird to live. We do miss him terribly. My thoughts are with you.
