Very sad

We have a flock of hens that a friend is taking care of for us until we can move onto some land we bought. Whenever she phones I come to expect bad news. Today was no exception. She phoned to let us know that our buff orpington had died -- they didn't know why.

So here is a picture of Mookie. I'm very sad! Mookie was my younger daughter's hen. Mookie was very mellow (being a buff orpington) and laid lots of yummy eggs. I really loved this sweet hen!
